Join us in the beautiful Kielder Water & Forest Park for the Kielder Dog Walk, “Walk for Wag” on the 23rd of September 2017 hosted by Northumbrian Water.
Home to the biggest man-made lake in northern Europe, the largest working forest in England, the
darkest night skies and some of the most spectacular scenery in England; this is one fundraising
dog walk you don’t want to miss.
Everyone’s needs are taken care of, with a well marked trail and easy terrain along the Lakeside Way following the Kielder Water Shoreline. The event will start and finish at Leaplish Waterside Park and comprises both a 10km route and a shorter 3km option; the 3km route is wheelchair accessible.
The 10 km walk begins at 11.30 a.m. and the 3 km walkers start at 12 noon. Parking at Leaplish is free and check in takes place between 10.15 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Facilities for dogs and walkers will be provided and we are looking forward to welcoming all different shapes and sizes of well socialised dogs (who aren’t in season) on normal walking or shortened extending leads. Not everyone needs to have a dog, we love to see family or company groups which have at least one dog amongst them.
Register yourself or your group online and join in with many others for a fun day out in this spectacular setting. With every step taken and every penny you raise, you will help to make a big difference to the lives of older dog lovers across the North East of England.
Links to our mydonate page and/or sponsorship forms to download are provided during registration.
Children under the age of 16 years are not required to register but they must be accompanied by a registered adult who is over the age of 18 years on the day of the event.
Everyone must register online here and registration closes on 18th September 2017.
