A

Afternoon tea

Each Christmas, our Home Visiting Wag Teams share afternoon tea with their elderly friends. Why not organise your own afternoon tea with your friends, family and/or neighbours?

B

Bake sale

If you like to bake (or you’re just a fan of cake), you could organise a bake sale. Ask your colleagues or friends to ‘do a Mary Berry’ too, and sell your delicious goods for cash.

C

Cheese & wine evening

Get together with friends, wine and cheese and biccies and raise money too. Ask everyone to donate some money and bring along a bottle.

D

Donate your birthday

Rather than pressies make a big difference by asking people to donate instead. Facebook make this very easy to do or set up a JustGiving page.

E

Easy Fundraising

There are over 3,000 retailers to shop with and you can raise donations on everything from your groceries to holidays, clothes and gifts.

F

Fancy dress day

Why not hold a fancy dress day at work, you could have a theme or let everyone's imaginations go wild.

G

Give it up

Whether it's chocolate, coffee or alcohol, get sponsored to give up your favourite (or worst) craving or donate the amount you would normally spend – you might even feel better for it!

H

Hero day

Spend a day dressed as a super hero or any other kind of hero. Maybe your favourite football player, the first person on the moon or a heroic dog (Lassie anyone?!).

I

Icy dip

Over the winter months, many friends would bet that you wouldn’t dare dunk your head under the waves of the North Sea. Prove them wrong with a sponsored icy dip. Make sure you’ve got a warm towel, a change of clothes and a hot drink for afterwards.

J

Jumble Sale

Hold a jumble or car boot sale to recycle previously loved things. Ask your friends and family to donate their unwanted items too so you’ve got more to sell and take any leftovers to a local charity shop.

K

Karaoke night

Whether you're a crooner or a diva, put your singing skills to use and raise money with a Karaoke night.

L

Learn a new skill

Is there a new skill you've always wanted to try: playing the piano, juggling or ballroom dancing? Ask people to sponsor you to master the skill and you can put on a performance at the end.

M

Make do & mend

Set up a repair shop to raise some money and help your neighbours or colleagues at the same time. You could sew on buttons, fix bikes or mend furniture.

N

Night In

Have a film night with friends or a pamper party and ask people to donate to take part.

O

Online sale

Sell off old books, films or clothes on EBay and donate the earnings to Wag and Company.

P

Pennies for charity

Like our friends at Northumbrian Water, why not ask your employer if you can set up a Pennies for Charity initiative. Everyone has the opportunity to round down their monthly salary to the nearest pound and have the pennies donated.

Q

Quiz night

Organising a Quiz Night is a fun and interactive way to raise money by encouraging a little bit of healthy competition. It could be at home, in a pub or online. If you want a donation bucket let us know!

R

Running

Join #TeamWag with a place in the Great North Run or take on your own running challenge.

S

Amazon Smile

Amazon will donate 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases. Millions of products on AmazonSmile are eligible for donations.

T

Team challenge

Get together with work colleagues or friends and compete to raise as much money as possible. You could make this Dragon Den style and invest £10 in each team and see who can make the most.

U

Up to you

If none of these take your fancy and you want to do something different that's great too!

V

Volunteer

Our work is only possible due to our amazing Visiting Wag teams, find out more about volunteering to become one here.

W

Walk for Wag

Take part in our annual walk at the beautiful Kielder Water or take part virtually anywhere in the country.

X

Xmas Party

Whether it's your annual work do or a get together with friends, celebrate the season with some fundraising fun. Include a raffle, a quiz or some silly games to raise extra cash.

Y

Your story

Whatever kind of fundraising you do, people will sponsor you or donate because it means something to you. Make sure you tell them all about why you support Wag & Company.

Z

Zumbathon

Hold a Zumbathon where people take part and donate while getting fit and having fun. Or if you want something a bit scary try a Zombie run (if you dare!).
